I was excited by this post, from Mashable about Lady Gaga’s Born This Way album being available for $0.99 at Amazon. Click “Purchase MP3” with a side note that with that purchase, it will also give me access to the Amazon Cloud Player. A few things happened:

• First, I forgot that my default credit card expired and it refused the order
• I updated my account, going so far as to delete all so it will finally accept the credit card at the bottom of the list
• I get a “Previously Purchased” warning which I promptly ignore
• I get an email for a “Free Trial Offer for Cloud Drive from Amazon.com
• Finally, I get a “Only available in the US” warning

All that suspense for nothing.

Update: Apparently Amazon had a problem handling all the requests for the one day sale. Not in Canada.
